Help Us Do Our Part To Recycle!

I love Mayor Greg Fischer and all the things he is doing to make Louisville a better city including recycling.  Now it is time for us to do our part and we need your help.  We have purchased orange top recycling containers for outside and blue recycling cans for inside our businesses.  All glass bottles, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, clean cardboard and paper should go into the recycling bins.  Styrofoam plates and containers, bathroom trash and soiled paper and cardboard and trash should go into the black trash containers.

For more information on recycling, you can go to the city’s website:

Saying Goodbye to the Greatest…

I don’t think I have ever seen a funeral procession that felt more like a parade for a champion but I guess that was what it was… I appreciate how accessible the family made themselves to us.  For one day we as a city were of one mind and spirit.  I was so proud of our city and the job that the Mayor and city officials did executing on Ali’s final wishes.IMG_3805Thank you to the Ali family and the city of Louisville for a day in my life that I will never forget.

Congratulations Hillary on Your Historic Nomination!

Hillary, we are so proud of you.  You have maneuvered through the political landscape and overcome the obstacles of gender bias to become the first woman nominated by a major political party for the office of President of the United States.  I loved how you paid homage to those who came before you during your speech.  May their courage strengthen you as you press on to finish the race and gain the prize.

Congratulations Students of Grace Brethren School…

IMG_3747It was such a joy spending time with the students of Grace Brethren School in Simi Valley, CA.  They were in town for the robotics contest held here at the Fair and Exposition Center.  To have made it to the competition was an honor and great accomplishment.  The competition had contestants from 36 countries.  Each student was as sweet as the next.  I just wanted to squeeze each student until their eyes popped out.  I am so proud of them, their parents, the teachers and volunteers that made sacrifices to support them in this endeavor.

The competition is supposed to air on ESPN-2 in July around the 20th.
