It is hard to believe that it has been 25 years since Shirley Mae opened her doors but it is true. Shirley Mae’s Café officially opened for business on December 31, 1988.
Today the doors for this special New Year’s Eve Bash opened at 9 p.m. Shirley Mae served up her traditional New Year’s Dinner including blackeyed peas and cabbage. Patrons ate for free… with no cover charge to boot. The night’s activities lead up to the yearend countdown, balloon drop and champagne toast.
